Sleep & Weight Loss

Sleep plays a huge role in weight loss and recovery. During sleep our bodies reset from the day by doing several things like:

- reducing inflammation

- regulate hormones

- refreshes our CNS

Lack of sleep can cause not only physical exhaustion but mental exhaustion as well.

When it comes to nutrition, getting adequate sleep (> 7 hours per night at least) helps us:

- make positive nutrition choices

- avoid mindless snacking (the longer you’re awake, the more you may find yourself wanting to eat even if you aren’t necessarily more active)

You may think you’re one of those people who can run well on 5 hours of sleep, and you might, but give yourself a week of extra sleep and I promise you’ll feel 10x better - speaking from experience 🤷🏽‍♀️😅
