My sister came to stay with me a couple months ago and I had been wanting to experiment with the air fryer. I was going through our cabinets and saw those pretzels and decided to try and use those as a coating for our chicken tenders. They were so good my sister literally went home, bought an air fryer, and has been making them at least once a week ever since.
INGREDIENTS
1.5 servings of pretzels, crushed (I use Snyders Honey Mustard and Onion Pretzels)
1 egg, beaten
1lb chicken tenderloins
DIRECTIONS
To start, make sure the chicken is relatively dry.
Crack egg into a bowl and beat it until yolk is broken.
Crush 1.5 servings of pretzels using a food processor, blender, or any way you can. Then pour crumbs into a separate bowl
Dip chicken into the egg, then coat with the pretzel crumbs and place in the bottom of the air fryer
Once all the chicken is coated cook in the air fryer for 20 minutes at 350*
*makes 4, 4oz. servings* approx. macros (using Honey Mustard Onion Pretzels) 30p. 4c. 4f.
